Roczen Podiums in Germany Against the 450s

Ken Roczen raced to a podium position on his Teka Suzuki Europe World MX2 RM-Z250 against the bigger 450cc machines in the ADAC MX Masters German Championship with third overall at Tensfeld for the fifth round of eight in the series.

The 16 year old set a blistering speed in the soft and bumpy terrain to register fourth and second place in the two motos; spraying champagne on the podium with fellow Suzuki riders Steve Ramon and Clement Desalle as the Tensfeld rostrum was coloured ‘Suzuki Yellow.’

Roczen’s first race was inspiring after the GP winner became entangled in a second corner pile-up and then set-about regaining what ground he could. He flew back from a slot of 36th and pushed up to fourth; recording the same lap-times as leaders Desalle and Ramon. Roczen enjoyed a better and drama-free start in the next moto and plagued Ramon in the closing stages after infiltrating the top five. He was second by the time of the chequered flag.
